The role holder will be responsible for developing and delivering a portfolio of asynchronous online courses. They will oversee accreditation, teaching, and learning to ensure an excellent student experience in online Psychology courses. They will support students and staff within the online team to promote student success and high-quality outcomes.
Job Details
St Mary’s is expanding into fully online courses, and the role holder will act as a Subject Lead responsible for the development, accreditation, and delivery of online courses within the Online Learning team. The current portfolio includes Psychology and Public Health programmes launching in 2025.
The role involves collaborating with a partner organisation involved in creating and delivering the online portfolio, as well as recruiting and managing hourly-paid/permanent staff for programme delivery and assessment. The role includes overseeing teaching, learning, and the student experience on online courses. A key focus is enabling student success and fostering high-quality student outcomes.
The successful candidate should have enthusiasm for innovative online education and experience in designing and delivering postgraduate accredited online Psychology degrees at HE/FE level. A solid understanding of PSRB accreditation, quality assurance, and enhancement procedures in higher education is essential, along with knowledge of their implications for the online portfolio.
Subject Leads are appointed on a three-year rotational basis, with potential for extension after the initial period. The position of Senior Lecturer in Psychology is permanent. Please refer to the attached Senior Lecturer Job Description and Subject Lead Duties Description for role expectations.
