Our client, a leading provider of high-quality flooring solutions, is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Purchaser/Administrator. Hours : Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5pm (Friday 8:30am-4:30pm) Salary : £25k-£29k DOE Location : Altrincham, United Kingdom Benefits: -Competitive salary and benefits package -Opportunities for professional growth and development -A supportive and collaborative work environment -The chance to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of a leading flooring company Responsibilities: -Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment needed for daily operations -Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify new suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality products - Inputting orders onto Eque 2 Construct (Sage) -Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained -Process purchase orders, invoices, and other relevant documentation accurately and in a timely manner -Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and general office support -Collaborate with different departments to understand their purchasing needs and provide support and guidance as required -Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and product availability -Assist in maintaining accurate records of purchases, expenses, and inventory levels -Support the management team in analysing and optimising procurement processes and identifying cost-saving opportunities Requirements: -Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the construction or flooring industry - Previous experience inputting orders onto Eque2 Construct (Sage) -Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders -Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping -Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) -Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines -Knowledge of procurement best practices and understanding of supply chain management principles -A proactive and problem-solving mindset to identify and resolve purchasing-related issues -Strong analytical skills to analyse data and make informed purchasing decisions -A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment If you are a motivated and organised individual with a passion for procurement and administration, we would love to hear from you.
