Position
Registered Pharmacy Technician within the Pharmacy Department at Crosshouse Hospital to lead in the Systemic Anti‑Cancer Therapy (SACT) hub area, managing the supply of both oral and pre‑filled products while maintaining clinical skills in patient‑facing areas.
Hours
37 hours per week, including weekend, departmental and public holiday rotas. The pharmacy service is provided from 8am to 8pm in the CAU; the successful candidate will participate in this extended hours’ rota.
What You Will Do
* Lead the provision, coordination and development of both pre‑filled and oral SACT medicines across NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
* Coordinate inpatient and outpatient supplies of oral and pre‑filled SACT medicines.
* Provide patient counselling.
* Produce training timetables.
* Supervise and train staff and work alongside the technical team.
Knowledge, Training and Experience Required
* Experience working in hospital pharmacy as a registered pharmacy technician, including aseptic, dispensary, ward or clinical experience.
* Registered in the UK.
* Qualification: SQA Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician.
* Qualification: PDA Assessment & Supply of individual patient’s medicines.
* Qualification: L&D9DI Assessor for SVQ or equivalent.
Additional Requirements
Full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
