Cranswick Country Foods Poultry is a specialty producer of delicious, cooked poultry ingredients and leading innovators in our industry. We create exciting, original products that meet the needs of today’s busy consumers.
Main purpose of the role is to effectively manage an Engineering department, develop Engineers, work in a consistent way across all production areas of the factory.
This advert covers 2 individual adverts based at Cranswick Poultry and Prepared Poultry sites.
The key elements of the role are:
* Ensure the motivation and performance of the Engineering team to provide rapid response to the needs of the factory production teams.
* Work closely with the Site Director on the delivery of effective training and development of all of the Engineering team.
* Report on engineering KPIs and working with the Site Operations Manager to maintain an efficient PPM Program.
* Responsible for the continuous improvement program to ensure that the Engineering department is current and maintaining PPM and rapid response
* Ensure that the site planned maintenance system satisfies our auditors and is managed effectively to cover all plant equipment and buildings.
* Responsible for the delivery and the installation of new machinery and ensuring that all plant and equipment comply with UK and EU Health & Safety legislation and maintain relevant records.
* To act as liaison between Production Management and the Engineering team, ensuring Service and Performance is working effectively to provide good levels of support and minimise downtime.

* Ensure the Engineering team are upholding good standards of hygiene and housekeeping for all parts of the site that are the responsibility of the Engineering Department
* Optimise all Engineering Labour and Material Costs including Spares, Raw Materials and Consumables.
* Provide Technical and Organisational support and assistance to the Engineering team in dealing effectively with Production Demands and line improvement projects.
* Ensure that all engineers comply with Company Safety, Hygiene and foreign body requirements and dept. safe working practices
