Some project management work will also be required. The QA Supervisor is responsible for the ongoing monitoring of all aspects of site’s compliance to site policies, procedures, and customer COP’s. This is a role combining office and shop floor-based activities so is suitable for someone who enjoys a hands-on position and is able to build a strong working relationship with Production; but also is comfortable with analytical work needed for effective trending and reporting. Responsibilities And Duties Managing and support the QA team. Participating in site’s Audits: Internal, External and Customer visits Working alongside/with the leadership team to assist with operational issues, and projects. Root cause Investigation, Corrective and Preventive Action management from all NCRs, Internal, External Audits Ensuring that all operating systems and procedures are adhered to as per the standard; Carrying out Factory and Process audits Providing a management report/response to the TM for technical KPI’s. Providing complaint and micro exception trends and review such trends to identify any early warnings. Providing adequate information on complaints, concessions and micro exceptions for the daily management meetings. Planning through risk assessment, set and maintain the site internal audit schedule. Ensuring team training is maintained to the required level. Working with the QA team and Purchasing to monitor, trend and rectify supplier quality issues. Managing, maintain and update the status of site corrective actions. Providing support and cover in case of absence for the Technical Manager. Providing support to the Site technical lead during customer audits and visits as required. HACCP Team member Also, completing any reasonable additional tasks to support business needs as required. Job Requirements Food Hygiene training Knowledge of food legislation Good working knowledge of HACCP / BRC QA/Technical experience & experience of External audits (BRC) – must be capable of dealing with a visit independently A good level of computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point), competent in report writing Good understanding of basic food microbiology Experience of working within a factory environment Internal audit skills, ability to complete an internal audit, communicate and close the actions Complaints / Non-Conformances investigation and management experience Good communication skills, ability to communicate precise information to help deal with food safety incidents.
