LEAD PROJECT ENGINEER - ENVIRONMENT
NORMANTON
What you will be doing:
We are seeking a Lead Project Engineer to join Galliford Try within our Environment Business, based ideally in or around Normanton, with travel across multiple sites/projects in the region.
The Lead Project Engineer supports Project Delivery by leading design activities, working closely with the Pre-Construction team, primarily on the Yorkshire Water AMP8 Framework.
You will coordinate all design work, ensure timely and quality deliverables, and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external consultants, and clients to meet project standards, budgets, and timelines.
Responsibilities include developing design strategies, managing design programs, ensuring compliance with SHEQ standards, and supporting project teams with design scope, risk management, and value engineering.
About You:
Competency Requirements:
* Understanding of design and construction processes, systems, and regulations
* Knowledge of planning, building regulations, sustainability, and health & safety standards
* Planning, programming, contractual, negotiating, and presentation skills
* Knowledge of CDM (2015) and relevant sectors
* Ability to work to deadlines with good time management
Qualifications:
* Degree in Engineering, Design, Architecture, or Construction Management
* Experience in Construction Management or Architecture/Civil Engineering
* Membership of a relevant professional body (desirable)
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with CAD, BIM, and CDEs (preferred)
