Our client based in Birmingham is recruiting for a Part-Qualified Contract Accountant (Finalist) to join their finance team. This is a hybrid role paying between £32,000 - 37,000 per annum (DOE).
What you'll do:
1. Support key stakeholders across both financial and non-financial areas by providing commercial insight that enables effective decision making and risk management.
2. Deliver proactive ad-hoc financial analysis tailored to support business unit objectives and drive operational improvements.
3. Identify, understand, and manage financial risks and opportunities arising from contract mechanisms and ongoing business performance.
4. Prepare comprehensive business reports including month-end accounts, budgets, cash analysis, client reports, and other ad-hoc analyses for senior review.
5. Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews for your area of responsibility, escalating significant risks or opportunities to senior stakeholders as appropriate.
6. Ensure accurate recognition of sales and costs during the monthly accounts closing process while promoting working capital improvements through timely billing and debt management.
7. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by consolidating data, analysing variances, and preparing presentations for senior leadership.
