Your role will be a critical leadership role that ensures the safety and reliability of Nexus Infrastructure by leading the planned, reactive and corrective maintenance, inspection and renewal regime of the Departmental Asset Management portfolio as determined by the Principal Engineer & Head of Rail Infrastructure Maintenance, to meet the safety & legislative compliance and the operational performance & reliability requirements of Nexus.
The role will be responsible for the asset management portfolio of the Nexus Overhead Line system as well as being a key stakeholder in the delivery of the Overhead Line Capital programme and involved in the exciting Metro to Washington extension.
The person working within the Rail Infrastructure Maintenance Service Area, will either be a proven leader or an aspiring leader that can demonstrate leadership capabilities that assumes the overall responsibility and accountability for the department asset management portfolio. You will be qualified to HNC, better or an equivalent qualification in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering subject area or demonstratable extensive experience of the management of Railway Engineering Systems. Knowledge of High Voltage Overhead Line systems is also essential.
You will hold extensive knowledge of the Railway Industry with reference to Safety Regulations, Railway Group Standards, Regulatory and Consumer Benefit requirements.
