The Operational Manager is responsible for ensuring the high quality and effective delivery of the PH Inpatient Advanced Practitioner and medical workforce. They will manage financial and physical resources to comply with robust operational governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with directorate support partners to oversee trainees and qualified Advanced Practitioners, aiming for an approved advanced practice master's qualification and supporting the development of the four pillars of practice.
2. Work alongside operational (line) managers to contribute to workforce planning and address organizational systems affecting resilience and retention.
3. Partner with the Clinical Director and Medical Lead to develop a directorate faculty for Advanced Practice, establishing a governance structure for training and development of APs and tAPs.
4. Develop policies with APs and medical leadership to ensure best practices are implemented, fostering ongoing development and effective work to meet patient needs.
5. Provide pastoral support to APs and tAPs, listening, advocating, and working through collaboration, negotiation, and influence.
