As a Chef de Partie you will assist the Sous Chef & Head Chef in delivering the Butlins food propositions.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for a specified section of the kitchen, ensuring the safe preparation, cooking, and presentation of the dishes, following set recipe specifications and brand standards.
* Overseeing and managing small teams of commis chefs, ensuring delivery of the food proposition in accordance with food safety policy.
* In the absence of the sous chef, deputise and manage daily operations in your own section to ensure efficiency and compliance with food safety policies.
* Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations and guiding Commis Chefs through training and mentoring as needed.
* Prepare and cook dishes with pre-approved recipe specifications; complete relevant daily food diaries; and help control budget margins with support from the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
* Lead a team to continually deliver high standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Be hardworking, reliable, and motivated to improve processes to consistently deliver brand standards.
* Possess energy, enthusiasm, and a focus on contributing to the guest experience by developing the team’s potential.
* Ideally hold Level 3 Food Safety qualification (not essential).
Qualifications
* Experience in a similar level role and ability to lead a team to maintain high standards.
* Level 3 Food Safety qualification preferred, but not essential.
* Willingness to work shift patterns including early starts and late finishes; 35 hours per week, 5 days over 7 including weekends.
* Full-time permanent role with potential on-resort accommodation for relocation.
* Ability to manage margins and costs and ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene requirements.
