We are currently looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic person to join our existing team at our office based in Banbridge, Co. Down.
Full training will be given.
The role involves attending sites after the completion of asbestos removal in order to carry out a thorough visual inspection of the area and sampling of the air to count the number of fibres present. This involves entering an asbestos enclosure wearing a respirator and protective suit and following decontamination procedures on exiting. Following the sampling of air within the enclosure, the filter must be mounted on a microscope slide (on-site within a mobile laboratory) and counted under a microscope.
The post involves working to high standards and liaising with site contractors and clients. Reports must be produced on-site for each job and issued directly to the client. A company van will be provided for use. There is an initial training period of three months for an applicant who has no previous qualifications or experience in this area of work. Work across Northern Ireland and the ROI, and applicant willing to stay away on occasions.
The starting salary is £26,500 (£12.71 per hour). This will increase by an increment of £1000 on successful completion of the initial training (three-month minimum) and then a further increment three months after authorisation to £28,500. A minimum of 5 GCSE's including Maths and English is required as well as a full driving license with at least three years of driving experience.
The company operates a flexi-time scheme that allows the post holder to come and go as the work and their hours dictate. The company offers 4 weeks paid leave per year plus all nationally recognised Bank Holidays. The position holder will be able to join the company pension scheme upon completion of a three month probation period if they so wish along with several other benefits.
The post holder will be expected to work some early mornings, late nights and one weekend in four, as the workload dictates. The company will expect the post holder to be hardworking and dedicated and be able to take responsibility for their own workload
