We have partnered with a high-growth, venture-backed biotech who are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to support the Senior Finance Director in leading group financial operations across UK and US entities.
This is a broad and high-impact role within a lean, scaling environment. You will operate as the senior operational finance lead, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and scalable financial infrastructure as the business progresses through its next phase of growth.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, you will:
Lead monthly group management accounts (UK parent + US entity oversight)
Manage multi-entity consolidation and intercompany reconciliations
Deliver board-ready reporting packs with commentary and variance analysis
Support budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
Monitor cash flow, runway and working capital
Coordinate US reporting via external bookkeeping support
Support audit, statutory accounts and tax processes
Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks
Drive process improvements and finance system enhancements
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone comfortable balancing operational detail with strategic visibility.
About You
Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
6–10 years' progressive finance experience
Experience in life sciences, biotech or venture-backed environments preferred
Strong group reporting and consolidation experience
Exposure to US entities advantageous
Confident producing board-level commentary
Strong Excel and financial modelling capability
Comfortable operating within lean, scaling structures
