Applications are invited for an MRC-BHF CARDIO-IMID Research Administrator post.
Appointment will start immediately, running to 02nd January 2028 in the first instance. During this time, the successful applicant will provide administrative assistance on a national registry study and associated research studies, under the supervision of a Study Coordinator.
The Medical Research Council-British Heart Foundation (MRC-BHF) funded ‘UK-wide CARDIOvascular-Immune-Mediated Inflammatory Diseases’ (UK CARDIO-IMID) Partnership is a new and ambitious initiative that aims to bring together experts and researchers across cardiovascular and Immune‑Mediated Inflammatory disease (IMID) sciences from across the UK. IMIDs are a wide group of health conditions which cause inflammation in the body, and include conditions managed by rheumatologists. People with IMIDs are more likely to suffer from cardiovascular disease compared to population and this is often a main reason for poor outcomes, however knowledge gaps remain in the understanding of underlying mechanisms and the design of optimal treatment strategies for CARDIO‑IMID patients. The UK CARDIO‑IMID Partnership is seeking to address these gaps and improve how we manage people with IMIDs so that they have better outcomes.
The role will involve supporting existing and new studies including data management, ethical applications/amendments, quality control and site liaison activities.
