Job Description:
Red Kite is a brand-new independent special educational needs school catering for up to 60 pupils with social and emotional health needs, based in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity for those eager to contribute to a new setting and make a difference in education.

The opportunity
Under the guidance of the Secondary/Vocational Leader, provide support to staff and students to ensure smooth operation of the faculty, including organizing, preparing, cleaning, and maintaining materials and resources, and supporting teachers in the classroom.
Assist in the practical activities of vocational subjects, ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with displaying pupils' work
* Organize and prepare classroom and ICT resources according to lesson plans and assist pupils
* Maintain workshop equipment, tools, and ICT, including safety and statutory checks, and manage risk assessments and COSHH regulations
* Retrieve, clean, and store materials and equipment used in various classroom areas
* Ensure workshops and classrooms are clean, organized, and equipment is stored safely
* Properly dispose of or store equipment, materials, and waste in compliance with policies and regulations
* Prepare materials and equipment for lessons in DT, Construction, Art, and Catering
* Assist with stock checking, ordering, and recording
* Keep records of machinery maintenance
* Support teaching staff and help assemble teaching materials
* Undertake training for safe operation of machinery
* Use woodworking machinery to prepare materials accurately
* Support pupils during practical activities, setting up machinery and equipment as needed
* Provide clerical and administrative support
* Follow policies on child protection, health and safety, confidentiality, and data protection, reporting concerns appropriately
* Contribute to the school's ethos and participate in meetings, training, and activities
* Assist with trips and out-of-school activities as required
Candidates should have GCSE C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths and some experience with SEN and school environments.
