Housekeeper
Location: Bognor Regis
Hours: Part Time, 25 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with one weekend shift every four weeks
Salary: £12.60 per hour on weekdays, £13.60 on weekends, and £14.60 for overtime
The Role
Our client, a well-regarded residential care home in Felpham, is seeking a dedicated and conscientious Housekeeper to join their team.
The successful candidate will maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort throughout the home, ensuring residents live in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Please note: Due to substances used under COSHH regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or over.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and laundry facilities.
2. Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment, observing COSHH guidelines.
3. Uphold infection prevention standards, including fogging when necessary.
4. Manage laundry duties: washing, drying, ironing, and distribution.
5. Respond courteously to residents' requests and support a respectful environment.
6. Report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
7. Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and managers.
8. Manage stock control of cleaning supplies and maintain equipment.
9. Follow emergency procedures, including fire safety protocols.
10. Adhere to safeguarding procedures and confidentiality requirements.
11. Complete mandatory and additional training as required.
12. Work independently and proactively, contributing to the home's wellbeing.

* Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably in care or healthcare.
* Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Respectful, empathetic, and professional approach towards residents.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
* Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and using cleaning equipment.
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
