Summary
We are seeking a passionate, skilled & experienced Automotive Mechanic/Technician to join our dedicated team in Welwyn Garden City. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and repairing vehicles, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and service excellence.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair mechanical vehicle issues efficiently.
* Perform routine maintenance services on various vehicle types.
* Test vehicle systems and components.
* Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of all work carried out.
* Collaborate with the team to ensure efficent workshop operations.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Mechanic.
* Relevant qualifications in automotive engineering.
* Strong knowledge of behicle diagnostic systems.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to lift heavy equipment safely when necessary.
* Good communication skills for effective customer interaction.
Role
You will be working on all makes of cars & light commerical vehicles. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:30pm with 1 hour for lunch, occasional overtime may be required/offered.
