New demand for a SQL DBA.
Key Responsibilities
•Configure, manage, and maintain SQL Server environments.
•Design and implementation of new database server instances
•Monitor system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance and availability.
•Support Disaster Recovery tests - Developing and maintaining procedures to ensure that systems can be recovered in the event of a disaster.
•Work on project activities, collaborating with other teams
•Support the business on incident and request resolution.
Essential Criteria
•Extensive experience of Microsoft SQL Server.
•experience with Microsoft Azure.
•experience of database backup and restore procedures.
•A good understanding of Microsoft Server platforms.
•experience of designing technical solutions fit for purpose.
•Problem solving skills to identify root causes and offer solutions.
•Ability to prioritize their work to deliver business requests and project demand on time.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Strong experience working within a team environment and independently.
•Willingness to work out of business hours and on-call when required.
Desirable Criteria
•Knowledge of operating systems, virtualisation platforms and other databases would be an advantage.
•experience of SolarWinds and Service Now.
