The Vacancy
The purpose of the role is to efficiently and profitably subcontract Explore transport excess work volumes.
Successful delivery of the role will be measured by profitability of subcontracted work, communication with fellow planning teams, subcontractors and customers.
The role holder will be required to take responsibility for managing workload for excess work volumes, maintaining effective working relationships with subcontractors and coordinating with the planning team to ensure all work is covered efficiently and profitably.
Main Responsibilities
* Planning of excess work volumes.
* Close working relationship with sub-contractors.
* Liaise with planning teams.
* Coordinate with the wider planning team to ensure all jobs are covered and customers are satisfied.
* Coordinate with the business development team to ensure jobs are rated correctly.
* Manage and grow the sub-contraction base with fully accredited hauliers.
* All systems correct with information provided from hauliers.
Skills/Knowledge
* Experience planning vehicles in busy multi-site operations.
* Construction-related experience (preferred).
* Ability to build close working relationships with customers and external hauliers.
* Excellent communication skills are essential.
* An understanding of the transport industry is essential.
* Knowledge of construction-based customers and the requirements for project sites would be a significant advantage.
* The ability to think quickly and manage multiple activities while coordinating with other stakeholders.

* International CPC (preferred)
