About the role:
As Deputy House Manager at Wings School Notts, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will be ensuring effective leadership of the house and residential community when on duty, such that it is organised, and managed in a manner that delivers the best possible child care. You will be participating in the safeguarding of all the children and ensuring that Wings Education Limited Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy is adhered to and promoting and ensuring the general health, safety and welfare of the staff and children and ensuring adherence to Wings Education Ltd Health and Safety Policy, and contributing to Wings Education Ltd Risk Assessment programme. You will also take a full and active role in the induction, supervision, training and appraisal of the care staff which you hold responsibility for, and in particular working with other senior staff in promoting safe practices in positive handling.
About you :
For this role, we are looking for someone who has experience of working within a children’s home setting and care planning for children, is passionate about supporting young people and holds a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
