Accounts Assistant
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our client, a global organisation trading across the US, Middle East and Europe. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity within a fast-paced finance team based at the company’s headquarters in West Suffolk.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive finance support, working in a structured and disciplined manner while consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations
* Raise sales invoices and customer statements
* Manage credit control and resolve customer queries
* Code, process, and enter supplier invoices, ensuring appropriate authorisation
* Handle supplier queries professionally and efficiently
* Prepare and process payment runs
* Match payments and receipts
* Monitor and manage the finance inbox
Reconciliations & Expenses
* Reconcile UK and US credit and debit cards
* Reconcile petty cash
* Support staff expenses, including matching costs to projects (e.g. launches, conferences)
* Maintain accurate filing of finance documents and contracts
Support & Compliance
* Assist with audit preparation
* Provide holiday cover for other finance team members
* Support internal teams with finance-related queries
* Carry out ad hoc finance tasks and analysis as required
About You
* Previous experience in an accounts or finance support role
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* Confident communicator with a proactive approach
* Able to work independently as well as part of a team
