As part of continued growth, they are seeking a Tax Compliance & Reporting Assistant Manager to join their finance team.
The Role
As the Tax Compliance & Reporting Assistant Manager, you will support the delivery of tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions, working as part of a high-performing tax team.
You will gain exposure to a wide range of tax matters while collaborating closely with finance, actuarial, and external advisors to ensure the business meets its obligations accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the preparation of UK corporate tax returns and tax computations
* Assist with international tax compliance, liaising with external advisors where required
* Contribute to quarterly and annual tax reporting, including IFRS or UK GAAP provisions
* Assist with tax accounting, including deferred tax calculations and disclosures
* Work with internal teams to gather financial and operational data for tax purposes
* Support interactions with external auditors, HMRC, and advisors
* Assist with transfer pricing documentation and related requirements
* Contribute to maintaining tax risk controls and compliance processes
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency
* Support senior team members on ad hoc tax projects and initiatives
Requirements
* ACA, ACCA, or CTA part-qualified or newly qualified (or equivalent)
* Experience in corporate tax compliance and reporting, either in practice or industry
* Exposure to financial services or a large multinational environment is beneficial
* Good understanding of UK tax principles and reporting requirements
* Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
Desirable
* Experience or exposure to the insurance sector
* Familiarity with IFRS or UK GAAP tax reporting
* Exposure to international tax matters
* Experience working with large datasets or improving processes
