A secondary school in Bury is seeking a History Teacher to join their Humanities department on a full‑time basis. This opportunity is suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers who are confident teaching History and are looking for consistent, long‑term work within a supportive school environment.
The role will involve teaching History across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5 depending on experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, assessing pupil progress, and maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom practice. You will work closely with colleagues within the Humanities department and contribute positively to wider school life.
Applicants must hold QTS (or be working towards it) and have strong subject knowledge in History. Strong classroom management skills, a commitment to safeguarding, and a professional, enthusiastic approach to teaching are essential.
