Job summary and details refer to Band 2 Health Care Support Workers at South Pembrokeshire Hospital, Sunderland Ward. This is a 40 bedded unit focusing on slow rehabilitation/Frailty Ward. The service is consultant led. Admissions are accepted from the community and Withybush General Hospital. The team works alongside community, primary care and the acute site to develop an integrated rehabilitation approach to promoting patient independence and best outcomes for discharge.
Responsibilities
* The candidate should be able to demonstrate some experience with working with the elderly and understand the principles of rehabilitation nursing.
* Full time or part time hours are available.
* The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post; applications in English or Welsh are welcome.

Qualification and Experience
Essential
* Level 2 in care or ability to undertake induction and on-the-job training to include theoretical knowledge of care and procedures (e.g., completion of a competency-based workbook equivalent to Level 2 vocational qualification)
* Ability to understand and comply with mandatory induction standards and Code of Conduct for Health Care Support Workers in Wales
Desirable
* Level 2 vocational qualification in a relevant health care-related subject
* Experience of working as part of a team
* Previous experience of working with people in a caring capacity
* Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
