This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical and Learning Facilitator to join The Emergency Department at WHH. This is an essential role to support and to progress our professional and diverse team.
Main duties of the job
We support and deliver a wide range of education and training across the team. We are committed to delivering best practice within The Emergency Department at WHH, EKHUFT to support the delivery of high quality and safe patient care. The Clinical Skills and Learning Facilitator role is integral to the unit. The role of the Clinical Skills and Learning Facilitator will work closely with the Practice Development Nurse to support learners in clinical practice and deliver training programmes.

Qualifications
* Significant contribution to practice and service development
* Evidence of expert clinical skills and ability to work outside traditional boundaries
* Completion of Accident and Emergency Course
* Completion of RCN Level 1 competencies
* Completed Practice assessor/ supervisor training/ update
* Working towards or willing to work towards degree
Skills
* Currently working in Accident and Emergency with 2 years experience
* Delivery of evidence- based practice
* Communication and Facilitation skills
* Sound decision making skills
* Expert clinical skills
* Experience of formal teaching/facilitating in any setting
* Advanced qualification in ED nursing
Governance
* Understanding of the role of governance in education
* Knowledge of Quality Improvement tools, ward metrics.
* Evidence of disseminating learning for incidents
Knowledge
* To recognise, manage and elevate a deteriorating patient appropriately
* To understand different education frameworks and teaching methods
* Experience of assisting with delivering education and training to individuals or groups
* Knowledge of local quality improvement initiatives
Other
* Current understanding of key challenges facing the NHS • both locally and Nationally
* Organised approach to managing workload
* To be able to deliver and receive constructive feedback
