About the job We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor / CILEX or CLC Licensed Conveyancer to manage a diverse caseload of residential (and/or commercial) property transactions from instruction through to completion. You will provide clear legal advice, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, and work closely with clients, agents, and lenders to deliver a smooth and efficient service. Skills required Solid understanding of residential and/or commercial conveyancing law and processes Proven ability to manage a busy caseload independently from instruction to completion Strong drafting and document-review skills Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain legal matters clearly to clients High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Proficient in using case management systems and digital conveyancing tools Strong problem-solving and risk-management capabilities Client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and third parties Up-to-date knowledge of compliance requirements (SRA, CQS, AML) Team player with a proactive, flexible attitude Key Responsibilities Manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, transfer documents, and other legal paperwork. Conduct all necessary property searches, enquiries, and due-diligence checks. Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, solicitors, and other third parties to progress transactions efficiently. Provide clear, timely legal advice to clients on all aspects of the conveyancing process. Prepare and submit SDLT returns, AP1 applications, and Land Registry documentation. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including SRA and CQS standards. Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records using the firm's case management system. Identify and manage risks, escalating complex issues where appropriate.
