The role is to
We are looking for an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to work from our site in Newbridge.
Hours of work are 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
1. Carry out driving and related duties involved with the carriage of goods to and from ASD client locations, ensuring driving is carried out safely and efficiently, in full compliance with road traffic regulations.
2. Oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises, ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed and returned without delay.
3. Check load security and weight distribution according to the latest safe working practices before setting out and after each drop.
4. Operate mobile equipment to load and/or unload vehicles as required and appropriately trained.
5. Follow best practices for fuel-efficient driving.
6. Participate in continuous improvement activities (TPM, 5S, etc).
7. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and tidiness.
8. Proactively identify potential health and safety hazards in the workplace.
9. Ensure vehicles are in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use, and operated safely.
10. Accurately update documentation related to the carriage of products as required.
Relevant skills:
* Full DCPC
* Experience working in a flexible, results-oriented team environment.
* Complete 35 hours of DCPC training.
* Experience in warehousing or distribution.
* HGV driving skills and licensed for the appropriate vehicle class.
* Ability to read instructions and record work accurately.
* Understanding of EHS requirements in a warehouse or distribution environment.
