This role is based at Regent Street Greenock. Travel will be required across Inverclyde. Working hours: Minimum 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am until 4pm Interview Date: To be confirmed We are recruiting for an Employability Practitioner to join our Employment Plus Team. Post is based within The Salvation Army Greenock Floating Support Service. As an Employability Practitioner you will co-ordinate a service which assists vulnerable individuals through a wellbeing, life skills & employability journey, thereby promoting independence; mainly within stages 1-3 of the Employability Pipeline. The programme is to be delivered to clients registered with TSA housing support service. Key Responsibilities: The role involves developing self confidence, personal growth, digital inclusion and addressing skills gaps, reducing barriers towards work readiness. You will be responsible for an employability programme designed to upskill, motivate and inspire the participants thereby maximising their potential. The EP will facilitate group training sessions, 1-2-1 meetings, online training. In addition you will develop and maintain close working partnerships with departments and Corps within the Salvation Army and local organisations. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: The ability to work with people furthest from the job market Proven ability to self-direct, plan and prioritise own workload Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification to be registered with SSSC Practitioner in Housing Support Services In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile.
