Wage

£22,500 a year


Hours

Monday - Friday, 37 hours 30 minutes a week. CP has flexible working hours.

We’re Cooper Parry’s Audit team, a collaborative group of professionals, passionate about delivering high-quality audits that make a real difference. We work closely with clients to ensure transparency, accuracy, and trust in their financial reporting, helping them grow with confidence and clarity.

As an Audit Trainee, you’ll dive into real projects from day one.

This is more than just a job - it’s a launchpad. You’ll:

* Support audit fieldwork by reviewing financial documents such as invoices, bank statements, and payroll reports, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements.
* Engage with clients to understand their systems and processes, attend year-end stocktakes, and contribute to audit testing and reporting in small teams.
* Deliver high-quality work by managing deadlines, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with your team to meet client expectations.

You’ll be supported every step of the way by peers, mentors, and even our Partners. We’ll give you structure, but also the freedom to grow at your own pace.

Training

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

What you’ll learn

Course contents

* Build trusted and sustainable relationships with individuals and organisations. Consistently support individuals and collaborate to achieve results as part of a team.
* Influence the impact of business decisions on relevant and affected communities based on an appreciation of different organisations and the environments in which they operate.
* Communicate in a clear, articulate and appropriate manner. Adapt communications to suit different situations, individuals or teams.
* Identify ethical dilemmas, understand the implications and behave appropriately. Understand their legal responsibilities, both within the letter and the spirit of the law, as well as be aware of the procedures for reporting concerns over potentially unethical activities.
* Take ownership of allocated projects and effectively manage their own time and the time of others. Demonstrate good project management skills to deliver high quality work within the appropriate timeline. Act as a role model and motivate others to deliver results.
* Evaluate information quickly and draw accurate conclusions. Assess a problem from multiple angles to ensure all relevant issues are considered. Gather the appropriate facts and evidence in order to make decisions effectively.


Training schedule

The apprentice will attend their nearest Kaplan training centre for various revision sessions, training and exams.


Requirements

Essential qualifications

A Level in: At least one subject in either Math, Business etc. (grade BBC). Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

After this apprenticeship
