We are seeking an exceptional Lead Informatics Product Manager to shape the vision, roadmap, and delivery of core components within a next-generation data platform for the life sciences industry. This role sits at the crossroads of laboratory science, data standards, cloud architecture, and AI-ready design—transforming complex scientific workflows into scalable, intelligent digital products.
You’ll collaborate with a global network of scientists, engineers, data experts, and partners to build products that modernize R&D, QC, and manufacturing. From chromatography workflows and semantic models to API patterns and microservices, you’ll be deeply involved in the technologies and standards that underpin modern scientific informatics.
If you thrive in both scientific and technical environments and can articulate a clear product narrative across diverse stakeholders, this is a high-impact leadership opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Discovery
* Build and own the product vision and roadmap for major product pillars.
* Identify high-impact opportunities through customer engagement and structured discovery.
Technical Product Leadership
* Define requirements, user stories, data models, and technical specifications.
* Collaborate with engineering on architectural decisions in a microservices-based environment.
* Ensure products are designed for interoperability, scalability, and AI/ML readiness.
Standards & Compliance
* Champion industry standards (e.g., Allotrope Simple Model) and FAIR data principles.
* Align product design with GxP, ALCOA+, 21 CFR Part 11, and enterprise data governance.
Execution & Delivery
* Drive backlog prioritization and lead cross-functional squads through Agile delivery.
* Define release criteria, ensure product quality, and iterate based on usage and telemetry.
Go-to-Market Alignment
* Partner with Product Marketing on positioning and packaging.
* Support Sales, Services, and Partners with product narratives and reference architectures.
Qualifications:
Required
* 7–10+ years in B2B SaaS product management, ideally in life sciences, scientific software, or data platforms.
* Technical background in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, or similar.
* Experience with lab informatics (ELN, LIMS, SDMS, CDS, LES, MES) and/or lab automation (OPC UA, SiLA2).
* Familiarity with data standards, ontologies, FAIR frameworks, and knowledge graphs.
* Proven track record delivering complex, multi-stakeholder products.
* Comfortable with APIs, data schemas, and cloud-native architectures.
* Experience in regulated environments (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR).
* Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills.
Preferred
* Background as a scientist, lab manager, or automation engineer.
* Experience in lab digitalization or orchestration products.
* Knowledge of Allotrope models and standards.
