We have an exciting opportunity for Optimizer to join our Team at the Bromborough site. Previous experience as Optimizer or in similar role is highly desirable. Shift Pattern: 5 out of 6 days 7:00 am to 15:30 pm Role: The purpose of the role is to ensure that all slicing / crust freezer equipment on the line is operated correctly and efficiently and improve the equipment performance and maximise product output whilst maintaining product quality. Successful candidate will support Line Leaders to adjust equipment to the required and most beneficial position for optimising throughput, yield and reduce weight rejects. Ensuring the slicer is running consistently to a high standard by proactively identifying issues and taking action to resolve them in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities: Setting up the slicer/freezer to achieve the correct quality, efficiency, & performance. Training new Slicers/Freezer operators to ensure full competency and completing training with existing Slicers/Freezer operators to form a better understanding of optimisation Giveaway & yields. Proactively support operators to enable them to complete their tasks on the lines with greater efficiency. Identify issues with poor quality in raw material and support Line Leaders in challenging and managing quality. Monitor slicing data and identify changes that need to be made. Have responsibility for the implementation of any changes and drive changes to be made to the line with the Line Leader. Attend relevant meetings as required and liaise with all relevant senior managers, teams and departments. Have responsibility for factory giveaway, actively implementing techniques to reduce this. Ensure understanding of KPIs to enable you to work towards these as both an individual and encouraging the line team to meet these with support from the Line Leaders. Cleaning and maintaining machinery and work areas to be at a high standard at all times. You must have full understanding of the sites Food Safety, HACCP, QA and Hygiene Standards whilst also carrying out safety checks or risk assessments when required. Ensure any changes are cascaded to individuals in the team where appropriate. Provide support to other departments and teams when required to create the ‘One Team' environment as outlined in our leadership principles. Be ambassadors for and promote the culture of Quality and Food Safety by their visible presence on site demonstrating behaviours and reinforcing our commitment to the highest standards at all times Participate in external Quality and Food Safety audits and customer technical visits taking the lead within their department or area of responsibility.
