I am recruiting for a Purchasing Manager to join a highly motivated and enthusiastic operations team in Waterbeach.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of purchasing professionals and have the responsibility for defining and executing a global supply chain strategy that delivers maximum value for the business and it's customers.
Duties include:
1. Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
2. Identify cost saving opportunities and implement best practice
3. Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, reliability and pricing.
4. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers
5. Monitor vendor performance and address any issues promptly
6. Analyse spending patterns and identify areas for cost reduction
7. Negotiate with suppliers
8. Implement cost effective procurement processes
9. Collaborate with other departments where necessary
10. Forecast demand and manage inventory levels in line with business objectives
11. Assess and mitigate supply chain risks
12. Keep up to date with market trends and potential disruptions
13. Lead a team of procurement professionals
14. Utilise data to make informed decisions
15. Establish and monitor KPIs
16. Ensure all procurement activities adhere to regulatory standards and organisational policies

26. Full cleaning driving license
