About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Manager to take the lead in selling bedrooms and event space at The Swan at Streatley. This is a key strategic role where you'll be responsible for growing revenue through reactive sales, building lasting client relationships, and executing a sales plan across the corporate, and MICE sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong track record in hotel sales who is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a results-driven team, and enjoys working with a variety of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the inquiry process for groups, meetings and events from the initial proposal stage through to contracting and billing.
Consistently meet or exceed set KPIs, including conversion, response time, client tours and sales plan objectives.
Deliver and exceed personal revenue targets across group bookings, meetings, and events.
Ensure all sales tools, including rate grids, proposals, digital collateral, and virtual tours are up to date and utilised effectively throughout the sales process.
Attend and support the management of key sales events to include virtual presentations, wedding show cases, seasonal restaurant launches, fam trips, menu tastings etc.
Participate in regular sales / revenue and strategy meetings to support business development and conversion. Attend and present in weekly operations and function sheet meetings.
Lead onsite efforts for monthly conversion days in collaboration with the regional team to drive conversion and revenue generation.
Support the management of the inbox and phones and ensure these channels are covered during business hours.
Ensure company and sales team standards, processes and SOPs are followed in line with hotel guidelines.
Support online lead generation platforms updates to include promotions, imagery, and accurate property information.
Support and execute an onsite sales strategy to optimise bedroom and event space.
Analyse performance data and sales reports to inform strategic decision-making and maintain alignment with revenue targets.
Provide ongoing support to the Director of Sales with ad hoc projects and commercial initiatives throughout the year.
Maintain and distribute weekly and monthly performance updates, highlighting progress against sales targets and key objectives.
Assist with budget planning and forecasting processes, including expense tracking and reporting.
Support competitor analysis to ensure the hotels and venues remain competitively positioned within the market.
Collaborate closely with General Managers and the wider commercial and marketing teams to ensure alignment of sales goals and plan execution.
