Job Title: Technical Program Manager
Location: UK Remote (occasional London team meetings required)

About the Role
A major global technology organization is seeking a Technical Program Manager to oversee and deliver complex, cross-functional programs. This key role will lead major technology initiatives primarily within the digital identity or avatars space, serving as a temporary backfill for a team member on extended leave. You’ll work remotely in the UK, driving high-impact projects alongside distributed teams, with occasional travel for onsite meetings.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, execute, and deliver multifaceted technical programs, ensuring they meet scope, quality, and budget targets.
* Own detailed scheduling, status reporting, tracking deliverables, and driving project milestones to completion.
* Coordinate across engineering and business teams spanning Europe and North America.
* Identify and mitigate risks, resolve complex cross-team challenges, and adapt plans in a fast-paced environment.
* Lead regular communications with stakeholders, providing program updates and escalations as needed.
* Guide and mentor internal staff and contractors, fostering collaboration and innovation.
* Ensure comprehensive requirements gathering, project documentation, and contingency planning.
* Contribute to strategic discussions on program direction, collaborating with senior management and technology partners.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or another relevant technical discipline is mandatory.
* At least 2 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or in a closely related project leadership function.
* Proven background in delivering software applications or digital technology projects at scale.
* Demonstrated experience with program-level planning, risk management, stakeholder management, and team leadership.
* Strong adaptability and flexibility to manage time zone coordination and shifting priorities.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
Desired Skills
* PMP or PMI certification.
* Experience with end-to-end software project lifecycle management.
* Prior exposure to digital avatars, social networking, or large-scale consumer tech projects highly regarded.
* Familiarity with modern project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project).
* Experience in a globally distributed, high-growth work environment.
