Join us at Rushcliffe Independent Hospitals, where every role makes a difference.

We’re currently looking for a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Technician to join our male rehabilitation mental health unit. You’ll be working with adults with complex mental health needs in a service that promotes recovery, independence, and positive change.

About the service

Our male rehabilitation unit provides structured, therapeutic care for adult service users living with serious and enduring mental health conditions. The environment is supportive and recovery-focused, with a multidisciplinary team working together to help individuals build the skills they need to move forward.

About the role

As an Occupational Therapy Technician, you’ll support the delivery of evidence-based interventions under the supervision of registered Occupational Therapists. This includes both group and 1:1 activities within the unit and out in the community. Your work will focus on developing daily living skills, improving wellbeing, and helping service users regain confidence and autonomy.

You’ll be expected to:

Support the implementation of person-centred care plans
Facilitate structured sessions that promote engagement, independence, and mental wellness
Monitor and record progress, sharing feedback with the clinical team
Adapt routines and environments to improve function and safety
Contribute to a therapeutic, recovery-oriented setting
Carry out relevant administrative and service-related duties
Take part in ongoing supervision, training, and service development
About you

We’re looking for someone with:

A Level 3 Diploma in Occupational Therapy Support or an equivalent qualification
Experience supporting adults with mental health needs
Confidence delivering structured sessions under guidance
A flexible, empathetic, and person-centred approach
Good communication and organisational skills
It would also be great if you have:

Experience in a mental health rehab or inpatient setting
Knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery models
The ability to speak Welsh (not essential)
Join our team at Rushcliffe Care Group and help us continue to provide exceptional care and service to our residents.

You will be joining Rushcliffe Care, a company with over 35 years of experience in offering the highest levels of care to our most vulnerable in society. Our core values, Reputable Care, Respect and Compassion, Robust Communication and Real Commitment are at the heart of everything we do.

Start making a difference with your career today.

All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which is covered by Rushcliffe Care.
