We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager to join the B&M team at the Support Centre in Speke. This is a full time, office based position for a 12 month FTC.
We are looking for an experienced commercial finance professional with a focus on attention to detail and a genuine passion for financial analysis to join our fast paced, busy Finance department. You will be reporting to the Head of Financial Performance, managing a team of one and ultimately responsible for financial reporting and analysis for our B&M Transport team and Distribution Centres.
You will be responsible for:
1. Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) – budgeting, forecasting and planning on costs and capital expenditure to ensure projected costs and cashflows are accurate and projects complete on time
2. Monthly accruals and prepayments & GL reconciliations
3. KPI reporting and working with the operational leads to driver better performance
4. Working with the Supply Chain Director to provide analysis on various projects and clear decision-making support
5. Managing a small team providing mentorship and performance development
6. Attending senior supply chain meetings and presenting clear and concise summary of financial performance
7. Identify and implement actions to improve quality and timeliness of financial information within their area
To be successful in this role, you will have:
8. A relevant accountancy qualification
9. Commercial finance management experience preferably in Distribution Centres/Warehousing
10. Ability to work under pressure, manage a diverse and competing workload ensuring deadlines are met
11. Good communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support the business decision making
12. Ability to present financial information to key stakeholders in the business
13. Ability to take accountability for your own development plan as well as coach and guide direct reports
14. Skills in Microsoft Office programs and preferably possess Oracle experience
Please note the role will include travel between our Distribution Centres, but will be based in Liverpool.
