Senior Cyber Security Engineer - GLOBAL DEFENCE ORGANISATION

Location: Preston - Hybrid (1 day/week)
Salary: Approx. £55,000
Clearance Required: SC Level
What you’ll be doing:
* Act as a Security approver for firewall rule requests
* Review and configure security features on firewalls
* Maintain and troubleshoot Atlassian Stack tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
* Manage user permissions, workflows, and integrations
* Oversee PostgreSQL database maintenance
* Resolve end-user issues and manage ticket queues
* Provide knowledge transfer to colleagues on Atlassian tools
* Collaborate with Cyber Security Engineering team to enhance security architecture
Your skills and experience:
* Experience with Atlassian Stack (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket) installation and maintenance
* Proficient in PostgreSQL troubleshooting
* Solid Linux (RHEL) expertise
* Knowledge of network troubleshooting and firewall architectures (Palo Alto, Juniper, Cisco)
* Familiarity with SIEM tools
