To support the provision of Health Care to people experiencing mental ill health in an Older Persons Mental Health in-patient setting.
The post holder will deliver specific components of the patients care plan as delegated by the registered nurse and will regularly be required to work without direct supervision.
Supervise junior members of staff providing advice and guidance.
Work within a Multidisciplinary Team under the direction of a registered nurse. Deliver health care within the Care & Treatment Plan Approach. Provide support to patients on an individual and on a group basis within the inpatient service. With support from Registered Nurses be responsible for and manage own workload and safety. Participate in supervision from Registered Nurses. Actively participate in continuing professional development through the Knowledge Skills Framework.

The Health Board currently operate a number of different shift systems. The most common are a 12.5 hour shift, inclusive of either one 30 minute or two 30-minute unpaid breaks.
