Assistant Financial Accountant Full-Time Salary: £35,000–£40,000 We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a full-time position offering a salary of £35,000–£40,000, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities for the appointed Assistant Financial Accountant • Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring accurate customer records and proactive debt collection. • Produce aged debt reports and support cash collection performance monitoring. • Perform daily cash management, including posting receipts and payments and preparing cash reports. • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet control accounts. • Support month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, and prepayments. • Assist with fixed asset register maintenance and depreciation postings. • Support preparation of audit schedules, statutory accounts, and tax returns. • Maintain vendor accounts in IFS and manage expense processing. • Provide financial analysis and ad hoc reporting as required. The selected Assistant Financial Accountant will meet the following key requirements for the position. • Part-qualified AAT / ACCA / CIMA (or studying towards). • Previous experience in a finance or accounting support role. • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and core accounting principles. • Competent in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas). • Experience using IFS is desirable. • Knowledge of UK financial reporting requirements, IFRS, and US GAAP preferred. • Highly organised with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Able to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities. • This role would suit a hands-on, enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude who is looking to develop their career within a dynamic finance environment
