Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their Head Office team in Sheffield. As Purchase Ledger Assistant you will work as part of a small team to process, code and check invoices. Checking and reconciling statements, making payments by BACS and bank transfer. Dealing with all queries in a timely manner. Weekly payroll holiday cover.
Role Responsibilities:
14. Managing the Purchase Ledger email inbox
15. Processing and coding invoices and matching invoices to purchase orders
16. Sending invoices out for approval via DocuSign
17. Managing DocuSign to process invoices returned approved.
18. Payments by BACS and bank transfer
19. Dealing with invoice queries and working with buyers and suppliers to resolve
20. Checking monthly supplier statements
21. Weekly payroll holiday cover
Key Competencies:
22. Ability to work quickly and accurately under time-pressure, showing strong attention to detail
23. Ability to communicate confidently within the business and with external stakeholders
24. Excellent organisational skills and a flexible approach
Experience:
25. Prior experience in a purchase ledger role is essential
26. Ability to process high volumes of purchase invoices
27. Experience of Bacs and other payment types would be an advantage
28. Experience of payroll would be an advantage
29. Teamwork
30. Ability to build good working relationships
