ABOUT THE ROLE We have a very exciting role available at The Fox at Oddington, for a Bar Supervisor. The Bar Supervisor will assist the Bar Manager with overall strategic responsibility for the Bar operation including managing the bar team, drinks selection, stock control and GP. Delivering excellent customer service and experience to the guests. SALARY: 12.85 per hour plus tronc HOURS: Full time 40 hours including weekends RESPONSIBILITIES Support the bar team by bartending during busy shifts, ensuring efficient service and a high standard of drinks preparation. Assist management with day-to-day operations, helping to maintain smooth workflow and uphold service standards. Implement and communicate drink menu changes, ensuring the team is trained and confident with any new offerings. Open and close the bar as required, following company procedures and ensuring security, cleanliness, and readiness for trade. Monitor the performance of bar staff, providing guidance and support to maintain consistency and excellent customer service. Handle guest queries or complaints professionally and promptly, escalating issues to management when necessary. Help manage stock levels by reporting shortages, assisting with stock rotation, and supporting regular stock checks. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming bar environment by upholding hygiene and health & safety standards at all times. Encourage a positive team atmosphere and lead by example, promoting strong communication and teamwork. SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS Strong cocktail knowledge and hands-on mixology experience, with the ability to train staff on drink preparation and presentation. Confident leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to guide and support a team during busy shifts. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to resolve issues calmly and professionally. Good understanding of bar operations, including opening/closing procedures, stock control, and hygiene standards. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment, staying organized under pressure and maintaining attention to detail.
