Overview of the role
We are currently seeking a Cleaner to join our team in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in a children day nursery working two hours a day, 6am-8am Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks in various areas such as nursery rooms, offices, children and adult toilets, front and back gardens and communal spaces
- Dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces
- To clean all surfaces of the day nursery including chairs, tables, carpets, lino, wooden floors, paintwork, tiles etc.
-Restock supplies such as toilet paper, cleaning products and other consumables and ensure there is sufficient cleaning product stock levels and correct equipment within the nursery, so that shortages do not prevent cleaning.
* Report any maintenance issues that prevent safe and efficient cleaning of these areas or supply shortages to the deputy manager.
* To clean doors and windows both indoors and outdoors.
* Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
* Ensure all high and low level dusting is completed.
* Undertake any other cleaning duties as requested by the nursery manager.
Skills
You will;
- Have experience in cleaning similar setting or any cleaning experience is desirable
- Pay attention to detail and be thorough in cleaning tasks
- Be able to work independently and efficiently
- Have good time management skills to complete tasks within allocated timeframes
* Be reliable and punctual
* Be willing to provide two references
* Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
