Overview
We are looking for experienced non-registered Therapy Assistant Practitioners to join our staff bank at band 4. Our services are within the Integrated Care Division at Wye Valley NHS Trust. We welcome applications from people outside the NHS and value the experiences and skills they can bring to the organisation.

* Inpatient Trauma & Orthopaedics
* Inpatient Acute medicine & Surgical
* Neighbourhood Team – Community
* Urgent Care Hospital @ Home – Community
Responsibilities
Working as part of the therapy and wider multidisciplinary team, Therapy Assistant Practitioners use enhanced skills in a specialised area to provide direct high quality and effective therapeutic care and support to patients, including those with more complex needs. The post holder will independently plan and deliver individual or team tasks within the scope of their role, understanding role boundaries and the importance of supervision and delegated tasks.
Requirements and Skills
* Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills; able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Car driver and access to a car for work is essential to the role.
* Current HCPC registration is essential (for registered Therapy Assistant Practitioners).
* The post may include working with adults and/or children; the post holder may be responsible for supervision of others and delegation of appropriate tasks to other non-registered staff.
* The post holder will be required to complete the relevant competencies for the post and participate in 7 day working.

Wye Valley NHS Trust is a member of an NHS Foundation Group with South Warwickshire NHS FT and the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. Located on the border with Wales in the shadow of the Black Mountains, we provide acute and community services across Herefordshire and into parts of Powys, including Hereford County Hospital and community hospitals in Bromyard, Leominster and Ross-on-Wye.
