Advert Text An exciting opportunity to work within the Council’s Community Safety Team which brings together statutory bodies and local organisations with the shared goal of reducing crime and the fear of crime. As Community Resilience Officer, you will play a key role in engaging with our communities via the implementation of Merton’s hate crime strategy, management of Merton Neighbourhood Watch and Merton’s Safer Neighbourhood Board. You will be working with a wide and diverse range of partners, including those from across the Council, Police, the voluntary sector, and residents themselves to support the borough’s approach to building community resilience, cohesion and confidence and ensuring that Merton remains one of the safest borough’s in London. We are a busy, friendly, and supportive team. Excellent communication and partnership working skills and an ability to work across a varied workload of projects are essential.
