The role of a Dispatch Co-ordinator is an integral role reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. Previous experience in a dispatch role would be a distinct advantage, although transferable skills will be considered on an individual basis. We would expect candidates to have an interest in supply chain management and production.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
* Ensure that all vehicles are loaded on time and all required checks are completed according to the process.
o Collaborate with management and sales teams to develop and agree upon the dispatch schedule.
o Generate accurate and timely reports on various topics, including KPIs and stock levels, as requested.
o Handle all inquiries related to the dispatch of timber and associated products.
o Undertake any additional tasks as required by the management team.
o Prioritise safety in all activities.
o Attain the necessary certification to operate a forklift truck for loading vehicles.
Skills and Experience:
* A strong team player who can also work independently.
* Takes ownership of tasks with a positive, can-do attitude.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging and challenging stakeholders at all levels within the business and with external customers.
* Methodical approach to problem-solving.
* Proficient in both spoken and written English.
* Knowledgeable about geography.
