Job Title:Registered Nurse - Inpatient Unit Reporting to: Deputy Manager Jobpurpose: Our Vision is to make every day the best day possible forour patients and their families in South Devon. You will help todeliver this by providing professional care and support to ourpatients and families on our Inpatient Unit. Lead and Co-ordinate the care forpatients on our Inpatient Unit, overseeing the work of the team onshift to include Healthcare Assistants, Senior HealthcareAssistants and Volunteers with guidance and support from theDeputy, Manager or Senior Nurse on Call.
2.Play an active role in Multi-disciplinary Team Meetings to agreecare for patients. 3. Organise admissions and discharges, liaisingwith doctors, the administration teams and otheragencies.
4. Provide hands on nursing care topatients, including assessing and managing symptoms, writing careplans, adjust medications, administering controlled drugs. 5.Provide emotional support to families.
6.Verify deaths and provide care after death with the support of theHealthcare Assistants and Senior Healthcare Assistants. 7. Liaisewith Senior Nurse on call as required.
8.Promote a culture of continuous learning and development andwellbeing. Identify your own learning and development needs andensure your mandatory and essential training is up to date. Takepart in clinical supervision, play an active part in teammeetings.
Deliver learning and skillsdevelopment to colleagues. To take partin mandatory infection control training provided. To responsiblymanage your own infections. This role has been identified as anon-site worker - works at a Rowcroft site for the majority of theirworking time. This will be fully discussed and agreed with thepostholder to meet individual and businessneeds.
