Job Title: Kitchen Assistant at HC-One
In your role as a Kitchen Assistant at HC-One, you'll value one thing above all: kindness. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Responsibilities
1. Help prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals loved by our residents.
2. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene.
3. Manage food supplies and ensure fridge/freezer temperatures are correct.
4. Assist new starters with equipment use and clean up spills and residues.
5. Always prioritize Resident wellbeing in your tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
* Some kitchen experience preferred.
* NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or willingness to study for one.
* Strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
* Ability to follow recipes accurately.
* Kind and considerate communication with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding & Training
Recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect. Attend safeguarding training and undertake additional role-specific training. Be proactive in seeking advice and reporting concerns.
