Job summary

We are keen to recruit a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist/Psychological Therapist/Creative Therapist who has experience of working in a community mental health team.

The role offers exciting opportunities for direct clinical work, service development and multi-disciplinary team working. You will provide evidence-based psychological interventions to people experiencing a range of complex mental health issues, both individually and in groups. Furthermore, you will be contributing to psychologically-informed care by providing consultation, training and supervision within the team and also leadership of a clinical care pathway.

Within the service, we offer a range of interventions, including CBT, DBT, CAT, ACT, CFT and EMDR and creative therapies.

Applicants should be qualified in a core profession, and/or hold accrue dictation with an appropriate psychotherapy/creative therapy organisation.

There will be an expectation of some travel between bases in the South East Hampshire and across the care pathways.

Main duties of the job

The will work as a core member of the psychology team and Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) To provide high quality specialised psychological input to people/clients who fall within the acceptance criteria.

They will provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and treatment using a recovery focused approach. Work will also involve working with other people involved in clients' care (e.g. family) as well as offer advice, consultation and supervision on clients' psychological care to other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

They will have an understanding and appreciation of the complex nature of the mental health care system and to develop insight and understanding to all others involved in people's care.

In addition they will contribute to audit, service development and research within the area served and provide teaching and training in line with the service needs identified.
