20 weeks contract role with a Local Authority Job Summary: • Responsible for the day-to-day management of housing services for approximately 6,000 council tenants and 1,500 leaseholders. • Deliver consistent landlord services, support residents in addressing health, wellbeing, financial resilience, training, and employment issues. • Provide tenancy management oversight, resolving resident concerns in line with policy and procedure, and promote inclusive and stronger communities. Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample): • Holistic tenancy management, including rent recovery and anti-social behaviour case management. • Support victims of domestic abuse and promote positive lifestyle changes among residents. • Manage adult and child safeguarding issues in line with legislation and organisational policy. • Conduct mutual exchanges and liaise with residents to maintain positive engagement. • Maintain detailed, evidence-based records with accuracy and attention to detail. • Use the NEC (Northgate) system for housing management operations. • Work independently and collaboratively within teams, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. • Prioritise workloads effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards. • Promote excellent customer service, problem-solving, and professional communication with residents, colleagues, and partners. Skills/Experience: • Proven experience in housing management, tenancy oversight, and delivering resident-focused services. • Knowledge of housing legislation, welfare reform, and tenancy management. • Experience in safeguarding, anti-social behaviour management, and domestic abuse support. • Strong customer service skills, with an ability to handle sensitive and distressing situations empathetically. • Proficient in housing management systems, ideally NEC (Northgate). • Excellent verbal and written communication, with record-keeping and reporting skills. • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with minimal supervision. • Strong organisational, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills. • Demonstrated partnership working, networking, and stakeholder engagement. • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel between sites as required.
