Education
An exciting opportunity within the Children’s Services (Education & Inclusion) team to fill a secondment Analyst post, jointly supporting two key areas of Children’s Services: Norfolk Virtual School for Children in Care, Previously in Care, Children with a Social Worker and Kinship; and the Early Years service.
Key areas
* Norfolk Virtual School for Children in Care, Previously in Care, Children with a Social Worker and Kinship
* The virtual school has a statutory role to provide advice, support and guidance to promote the educational achievement of Children in care and Previously in care, with a non-statutory strategic role for Children with a Social Worker and Children in Kinship Care. The role will support the virtual school by maintaining and developing an existing suite of PowerBI reports and by performing key analysis of educational outcomes.

Analysis aims to inform action planning for service deployment of resources to meet statutory duties.
Both areas are at an exciting development point with opportunities to shape new analysis atop existing reporting. The post holder will manage and prioritise their own workload, work closely with services and colleagues within I&A. Power BI dashboard development will be a key part of the role, using data from DfE publications, locally held datasets and data models.

* Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports across Children’s Services areas.
* Analyse educational outcomes and provide insights to support decision making and reporting (e.g., annual report and internal planning).
* Collaborate with the Virtual School and Early Years teams to understand data needs and improve data collection and reporting processes.
* Prioritise workload effectively and communicate progress with stakeholders.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience with Power BI dashboards and data analysis in a public sector or equivalent environment is preferred.
