You'll make sure meals are consistently good, the kitchen runs efficiently and the team feels supported. Key responsibilities include: Preparing delicious, fresh meals and overseeing daily service Managing stock, ordering and cost control Leading, training and motivating your kitchen team Developing appealing menus that meet nutritional and school standards Maintaining a safe, clean and compliant kitchen through regular checks What You Bring: Experience cooking for large groups (100 - 1300 students), ideally in a school or similar setting Confidence working with fresh ingredients and following recipes Previous experience supervising or managing a team A good understanding of kitchen health and safety A calm, positive attitude when working under pressure NVQ Level 2 or Level 2 Food Safety, plus at least one year of hands on cooking experience Training in Food Hygiene and Health and Safety will be provided to support your development.
